New and Updated Nut-Free Cosmentics.

Make Up

Hey nutters!

Sorry I have been so absent but I have been terribly ill recently and have been unable to blog. I have tried soooooo many new things: I shall be doing a couple of blogs in the next couple of days to satisfy your nut free cravings.

Okay so my most popular post has to be the one regarding make-up toiletries etc:
So I thought I would do an updated version, as my skills in make up have improved (i wish) Being a 23 ( Im getting on a bit) year old, make up is definatly essential and with a nut allergy, frankly this can be a bluddy pain in the neck reading through all the small ingredience listings and code words for peanuts and nuts hardy har har har! SNOOZE!

So here it is my top however many essential make-up, skin cleansing, creams and toiletries enjoy.

1) You have to have a good make-up wipe whether that be just to cleanse your face or if your like me have had a blurry night and your face is caped and covered in smudged lipstick, and black. ( I go heavy on the eyeliner ;)) So I use simple wipes the original green packet. I have to state that these are not cheap. £3.00 a pack is quite dear but it is the only one that doesn't bring my face out in red bloatchies.

Simple Cleansing Wipes

2) For covering my face I use a collection 2000 foundation/ powder/suncream and concealer its four in one and its called Perfecting Mericals. This is the only foundation type thing that doesnt leave my skin all flakey and spotty and doesnt break me out. Its perfect as it just covers the skin lovely and gives you an overall tone of foundation. Rather than the look of someone out of the only way is essex. (no offence) It is £3.99 at superdrug and lasts forever!

Collection 2000 Perfecting Miracles Foundation
Collection 2000 Perfect Minerals Foundation Light To Med 1
3) Blusher: I love a good rosy cheek and blusher is the one I tend to over use and my mum always has to rub it off. But I do use Rimmel and collection 2000. Rimmel I use for nights out where as the collection 2000 set has more bronze tones, so in the day for work it is perfect.

Option a: Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades (Blushalicious)
Collection 2000 Shimmer Shades 12g Blushalicious 2

Option B: Rimmel Lasting Finish Mono Blush in Live Pink 50
Rimmel Lasting Finish Mono Blush Live Pink 50

4) So number 4: My ultimate essential is eyebrows from day one my eyebrows are pretty poor, their all patchy and uneven and they look like I have put a slit in them on purpose like some sort of gangster. So I have always coloured in my eyebrows to begin with I used black eyeliner (Big mistake). Then I moved on to a pencil which was 2true collection from superdrug. The pencil comes with a little brush and is pretty good. But this Christmas my mum got me an eyebrow kit and it is AMAZING. I cannot get enough of it. It comes with a wax, a powder and a highlighter and also a little pencil to touch up with. I recommend the second one but both are pretty effective.

Option a: 2True Expect Eye Pencil in Natural Brown.
2True Expert Eyebrow Pencil Natural Brown 1
Option B: SEVENTEEN Brow That: Brow Kit.
This is £6.00 for the kit at boots.

5) My ultimate thing i where is black eyeliner: Im just plain pencil sort of girl as I react to most liquid based ones. So I use 2true Plain black eyeliner. There are other options that I have used such as Rimmel Coal based and Avon glimmersticks (these are glittery and good over Christmas). But i find that 2true stays on the longest.

Option A: 2True Twist and Line Eye Definer in Shade 8
2True Twist n Line Eye Definer Shade 8
(£2.00)

Option B: Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer in NOIR
Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer Noir 261
(£3.99)

Option C: Avon Glimmerstick in Black Ice or others.

6) Eyelashes: Now I only use one type as I cannot stick the others in. There either to heavy or the glue is rubbish or make me look like a clown with massive eyes. I use 2True again (one of my favourite brands as cheap.) the basic eyelashes. The glue doesn't seem to effect me. So I Love them. Available at superdrug.

2True Glamour Lashes
2True Glamour Lashes
(£1.99 or 3 for £5.00)

7) Lipstick: now I always where lipstick in day a nude or a brown : then at night I wear bright pink, red, gothic black or purple or a nice dark red. All my lipsticks are collection 2000, and I find most of them to be fine. They have just brought a new shea butter one out which I avoid even though I'm pretty sure its in most of the chocolate I eat but hey ho!

Option a: Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Lipstick 4g Range: I own: Colours Coffee Break, Mango Tango, Pink Shock 2, Passionfruit, Queen of Hearts.
Collection 2000 Lasting Colour Lipstick 4g Sweet Tart 8

Option B: Collection 2000 Volume sensation Range: Colours: Cherry Pop, Hot Chocolate, Perfect Pink, Ruby Red, Sugar Pink, Tea Rose. They either come in pink cases or black.
Collection 2000 Volume Sensation Lipstick Satin Bow 13
Option C: They have a gothic range: GOTHIC GLAM. In colours: Seduction, Scorned or Revenge.
Collection Gothic Glam Lipstick Seduction 1

Option D: They have a LITTLE MIX range aswell; Collection Little Mix: Available in colours Jade, Jesy, Leigh-Anne or Perry. I have the Perry colour.
Collection Little Mix Lipstick Perrie
(All £2.99 at Superdrug or Boots.)

Well they are my top make-up/ beauty essentials. A bugger to put together but hope you enjoy.
Happy Make Upping :)

Sweets and Treats :)

Hello Guys :)

I am so sorry i haven't kept up to date with posting on here. Been so busy with uni work I really have not had time. Just finished my degree so shall be posting a lot more :)  But I have kept up trying new foods :) So I thought I would let you in on a bunch of new foods that I have discovered.

So I went on a massive food shop and brought loads of stuff to try still have quite a lot left. But here goes:

1. Mcvities Rich Tea Biscuits: They are so good with a cup of tea or just as a little treat, mostly sold in every shop, and pretty cheap if you ask me :) Also finally found a biscuit i can make a cheesecake with for the base!! Will post the ingredients on here when i finally make it.

2. Jacobs Cream Crackers: I used to eat these but i stopped for some reason and they are amazing with a bit of cheese or ham and some pickle a snack that is delicious!

3. Jacobs Oddities: Cheese and Plain: These are great for eating on the go or just having them as a general snack personally I didn't really enjoy the cheese flavour to me they tasted a bit like sick :| But I suppose each to their own!

4. Rowntrees Fruit Pastilles Bag Or Packet: Absolutely obsessed with these I ate about 5 packs when I discovered these I haven't had proper gummies/ sweets in ages and they were so yummy and so cheap well 3 packs for a pound in Iceland!

5. Heinz Salad Cream: I wanted to find a lower fat alternative to mayonnaise and salad cream is just a few less calories so and its great in a sandwich or with a salad (obviously) I used to eat it with tuna in a sandwich with mini cheddars but that's just me (I'm odd).

I did have extra chewing gum on here but after emails regarding there nut free policy which they state "cannot guarantee nut free", I refuse to eat their stuff!

6. Kinnerton: Easter Egg: Chocolate Bars: Chocolate Lollipops and White Chocolate Buttons
Over Easter I went mad for chocolate because I didn't have it for years and wanted some chocolate so I tried Kinnerton which I Knew was safe!!! So tasty!

7. Southern Comfort: Man My new favourite drink so good!

8. Hooch and Smirnoff Ice.
Got into a bit of a 90's Alco pop renaissance over the last couple of weeks, as uni was finishing and wanted to celebrate with some new drinks. Lemon flavoured and absolutely gorgeous.

9. Walkers Hoops and Crosses: Roast Beef and Prawn Cocktail. New crisps from walkers, whole grain : I tried these at a party and for me they are absolutely fine, I need to try the other flavours but they are low in calories 85kcal and are really delicious: The beef ones taste like monster munch, which are possibly the best crisps ever!

10. Ready Salted Pringles: As you can tell I do love my crisps; as party BBQ season is coming up I really wanted to have some new nibbles that I could eat or take to parties :)

PS ALL AVAILABLE AT ASDA: www.asda.com/groceries

I really do appreciate all the positive feedback I am getting from my blog! Really has been lovely ! Its so nice to know that my blog is having a positive impact on people finding new foods and because I have just finished uni, I plan to extensively do more blogs!!

ICELAND&ASDA: food haul.

Hello so today i thought i would try something different and complete a food haul! So yesterday was my lovely sisters 21st and we had a Harry Potter party! YAY!!!

So basically we had all the works.. bertie botts ever flavoured beans, chocolate frogs and everything! Some of the stuff i couldnt eat but hey!

It was so lovely to be home and my mum and Dad got me some delicious nut-free food for the buffet! Mostly from Iceland and i tried some sweets from Asda ;)!

So basically:

The Pizzas that i used to eat in Iceland their labelling has changed and now is may contain traces of peanuts. Which my friends is an utter bummer! Bacuse i used to eat their cheese and onion pizza and for anyone who has been reading my blog i have featured them! So i will update that!!! Please always check the ingredients before eating as i blog every so often and items are obviously subject to change!

So I had a little scurry around and discovered their Italian range are now not including any "warnings" i shall call it ! So me being drunk tried two pizzas because usually i take a while to try new things but my drunken state i will literally try!!

1) Chicken and Pancetta Pizza
(Can't find an image for this one)

2) BBQ Chicken Pizza

Update :)

Hey lovelies :)

Sorry I have not blogged in forever but I have been busy doing uni work and doing all the essays and stuff so yeah! I apologise!

Just a few things I wanted to let you all in!

Basically recently I have been sent a number of allergy free lists regarding companies such as nestle and Kellogg's and also came into my possession a Sainsburys nut free list! I am at the moment emailing companies to also get their nut free lists! For me especially nestle it's a real eye opener to what is actually available and frankly it's quite a lot more than I am currently eating! My sweets are only strawberry chewits and lots of lollies fruity pops :)

I won't infact put the list on here as promoting these products because I don't like putting things unless I have directly tried them myself! As for sainsburys I'm so excited to try a few products and in the next couple of weeks I will be filling you in on those products! You can get the sainsburys nut free list from google and their websote! Which has recently been updated in march! So you know that not much could of changed :)

Also for anyone who has a nut allergy I highly recommend that you sign up to allergy uk for regular food alerts which alert you to any product stated as nut free has been contaminated and for me it's nice to know! This includes big brands and stores such as Asda or sainsburys !

I would also like to request if any of you have any recipes you would like me to show and describe and also I am in the current move to do YouTube which will include food hauls and recipes so please subscribe to holliemaepike :)

Thanks my lovelies for reading this!
Anyone want the lists please ask down bellow with your email and Ill be sure to forward it to you :)

Hope you have a lovely at Patrick's day and also happy birthday Jordan for Sunday (my baby sister)

Happy Eating

Condiments

Hello guys, haven't blogged for quite a while, as i have been ill and busy catching up with my family. LOVE THEM! But i thought a gap at half term :) i would right a blog on my condiments.. NUT FREE! Yay!

1. Heinz tomato Ketchup: Right i cannot live without this stuff :) It is so nice with everything? Bit obsessed! Mix it with mayo to make a Mary Rose sauce! With curly fries and chicken dippers yum not so healthy though ;)
2. Hellmans Mayonnaise. I possibly have this with every meal. I am a complete mayonnaise obsessive and yes its not that good for you! But with a nut allergy i cannot find any spices or herbs that i can use. Apart from fresh herbs but being a student i'll be damned if i can afford that! But it gives every meal that little bit of flavour and taste! you can obviously get the low fat options but i go for the full fat option cos hey lifes to short! You can make sauces and dips out of this and it really goes with everything. My favourite at the moment is a prawn mayonnaise and mustard sandwhich!

3. It is Asda Hot Mustard. I cannot and will never stop eating this stuff! Especially in mash potato or in my mums famous cheese and mustard scones. P.S Will put recipe up in the next couple of weeks for you guys.
And also in my mums Croque Madam cupcakes: Also a legendary posh breakfast which is a bread cupcake with egg, ham and a beschamel sauce inside. Its insanely good. Also will post recipe which has been adapted from Rachel Koo's "Little Paris Kitchen" Recipe. Only 53p and won't break the bank.

4. Everyone needs a bit of barbeque sauce in their lives. To marinate chicken with or just to eat in a sausage sandwhich. Its Heinz original barbeque sauce! Frankly its so packed full of flavour i adore it!
5. Gravy.. I know technically not a condiment but well it sort of is! So I'm gonna wack it in here :) For all you lovely fellow nut allergy sufferers! I use Bisto favorite Gravy granules  Does what it says on the tin, gives a roast dinner that awesome edge. I also add this to my sausage casserole recipe and other stew based recipes. Its also suitable for vegetarians so wooo!

6. Just thought i would also put this on here because you add it on toast and to me its kind of a condiment so hell here we go! Jam: Asda Raspberry Seedless Jam! I may have mentioned it before but have to big up old Asda and say how lovely it is to have jam! Jam on toast, Jam in cupcakes and just general jam. Also for pancake day i did a jamcake! Pancake with jam on to you and me ;) Picture below!

Hope you enjoy :) I thought now i would do a week in my food! As you all know i love instagram... holliemaepike and been blogging about my clothe buys and foooood! As i have a keen interest in both! So here are some pictures from my food this week at home! Bare in mind i am trying to eat healthy because i have been on too many alcoholic uni student binges! Then i hit the doritos like nobodies business. So here we go my friends!

Saturday night: Lemon Salmon, Rice, Brocilli, Spinach and salad!
Luchtime: Egg and soldiers. (Hovis Bread)
Rare asda Steak with black pepper, Jacket and salad!
Just a few snippets from my week in food: Also can see all the Mayo i eat ;) Also follow me on instagram: holliemaepike .Also bellow if you want any food recipes shown on here please to comment or if you have any queries about nut-allergies or children with nut allergies or anyone with any allergy. Please do not hesitate to email or to comment.

Happy eating!

Love
